Analysts predicted a slow year for the semiconductor industry, but 2015 has already seen a number of tech acquisitions. First, Intel announced its plans to acquire Altera FPGA for a $16.7 billion deal. In May, Avago agreed to purchase Broadcom for $37 billion, and in March, NXP Semiconductors made an offer to purchase Freescale Semiconductors for $11.8 billion
Connected. We may think we know the true meaning of what being "connected" is. With infinite access to the internet at all times of the day and communication at the palms of our hands, it seems the connectivity of our world couldn't possibly expand anymore. It used to be that our cell phones could only be used to make phone calls or send text messages with 2G networks. Since that distant past, networks have evolved to 3G and now 4G, which have opened our eyes to a whole new world of connection between people and places.
